A huge, medieval-style, catapult designed to launch drugs over the Mexico-US border has been found by officials.
The contraption was discovered by US border patrol agents on the Mexican side of the border, southeast of Tucson, Arizona.
As the officers approached the border fence, a group of men ran off. They discovered the device attached to the fence and found two bundles of cannabis weighing a total of 47lb (21kg) next to the catapult.
No arrests were made and the catapult was removed.
The border, which President Donald Trump wants to reinforce with a "wall", is 1,100 miles long. Around half of it already has a fence or wall in place.
In September, a modified van was found equipped with an air-powered cannon designed to shoot drugs packages over the border. The 10-feet metal tube was described as a “homemade bazooka”.
Drugs tunnels under the border are also regularly found.
In October last year, Mexican prosecutors found a tunnel equipped with ventilation and lighting that headed from the city of Tijuana toward the US.
